HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a teen runaway last seen In May of 2022, and needs your help.
Detectives are requesting assistance from the community in locating a Runaway Juvenile.
According to investigators, Jacob Bedson, 16, is under the care of Youth and Family Alternatives (YFA).
On May 17, 2022, a YFA staff member took Bedson to shop for clothing at a business in the 5300 block of Spring Hill Drive in Spring Hill.
In an effort to elude the YFA staff member, Bedson fled out the rear door of the business.
Since that time, detectives have been unable to locate Bedson.
Representatives from the YFA said that Bedson is a frequent runaway and may be at or headed to a homeless camp near 13508 Hicks Road in Hudson, Florida.

Bedson is described as follows:
- Race – White
- Sex – Male
- Height – 5’9″
- Weight – 110 pounds
- Hair – Blonde – Medium Length – Curly
- Eyes – Blue/Gray
- Clothing – Unknown.
