A Florida man is behind bars after making his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home and threatening to kill the babysitter.
According to investigators, on August 1st, Cody Jules Famularo, 34, showed up uninvited to his ex-girlfriend’s home on Cato Road in Bay County and forced his way into the residence.
Deputies say when Famularo entered the home, his one-year-old child, a 10-year-old child, and the babysitter were the three people there.
Deputies say he began threatening the babysitter by telling her that he was going to kill her.
Famularo then fled the residence and when he was tracked down by deputies he jumped into the Mill Bayou Creek in order to avoid arrest.
Famularo was spotted by a citizen who called 911 to report that he was hiding in their backyard; he again fled and jumped back into the water.
BCSO Lieutenant Crosby and Corporal Willoughby with Bay County Sheriff’s Office quickly entered the water and took Famularo into custody and he was transported to the Bay County Jail.

Cody Jules Famularo, age 34, was charged with two counts of burglary with assault or battery, criminal mischief, and resisting an officer without violence on August 1, 2022.
Famularo is awaiting his first appearance for his charges.
