PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco Sheriff’s Office was honored to be named the 2022 Agency of the Year by the Florida Association of School Resource Officers (FASRO).
The honor was presented on Monday during FASRO’s annual conference, held in Orlando.
“PSO thanks FASRO for recognizing the impact our SROs have on the lives of Pasco’s students each day, and for recognizing PSO’s commitment to ensuring schools are a safe place for all,” said PSO in a statement.
PSO SRO Lt. Troy Fergueson was also presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s FASRO conference.
“Congratulations to Lt. Fergueson on earning this incredible honor, and thank you for your dedicated work to the safety of Pasco’s students,” said PSO.
Last year, FASRO also honored Cpl. Elders, SRO at Pine View Middle School in Land O’ Lakes, as the 2021 SRO of the Year.
“PSO is incredibly proud to be recognized for our innovative approach and exceptional commitment to school safety which keeps students, faculty, staff, and families safe in the communities we serve,” said PSO.
