SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A 22-year-old Wildwood woman was killed in a crash that happened just after 11:00 am Friday.
Troopers say the woman was driving a pickup truck eastbound on SR-44, east of CR-243, when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the vehicle rotated departed the travel lanes, entered the median, and overturned.
She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to troopers, and as the vehicle overturned the woman was ejected and suffered fatal injuries.
