Where To Watch 4th of July Fireworks In The Tampa, St. Petersburg, And Clearwater Area

The 4th of July is upon us. Fun, family and fireworks are hallmarks of America’s Birthday celebration and many families look forward to the party each year in the Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg area.

Here is a quick list of our favorite 2022 4th of July fireworks and events in Tampa, FL that will help get you started with your holiday plans.

Boom by the Bay

WHEN: Monday, July 4 at 11 a.m.

WHERE: Multiple Locations in Tampa FL

Boom by the Bay is the highlight event of the summer in the Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg area.

This 4th of July celebration features plenty of fun and excitement with activities in multiple locations that include Boom on Bayshore with live music, fireworks and food trucks, Star-Spangled Sparkman with a water ski show, fireworks, and food, a family fun area at Curtis Hixon Park, the Heights District Fourth of July Celebration at Armature Works with music, a kid zone, a hot dog eating contest, music and fireworks, the July 4th Boat Parade and the Boom by the Bay fireworks finale at dusk.

Clearwater Celebrates America on July 4th, 2022, at BayCare Ballpark.

WHEN: Monday, July 4 at 6 p.m.

WHERE: BayCare Ballpark

Fireworks, The Black Honkeys Band concert, family activities and more!

Attendees can celebrate America’s birthday in style with the largest fireworks display in ballpark history, a star-studded concert by The Black Honkeys Band, and fun activities and giveaways for kids of all ages. All-American culinary concessions, such as hamburgers, hot dogs, and popcorn, will be available on-site for purchase, as well as adult beverages.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin around 9:15 p.m.

The annual fireworks display is temporarily relocating from its traditional venue at Coachman Park to BayCare Ballpark, due to the current Imagine Clearwater construction. Clearwater Celebrates America – At the Ballpark is a ticketed event. TICKET LINK

The Fourth St. Pete at the Pier

WHEN: Monday, July 4 at 4 p.m.

WHERE: St. Petersburg Pier

Do you live in St. Petersburg? You will find few Fourth of July celebrations that are more fun with family and friends than St. Pete at the Pier.

Activities you will enjoy at this Independence Day party include the St. Pete Pier Run, a craft beer garden, local food trucks, live music on the Visit St. Pete Clearwater Main Stage, local entertainers, and a bombastic fireworks display over the water to conclude the night. 

July 4th Fireworks Cruise

WHEN: Monday, July 4 at 7 p.m.

WHERE: Yacht StarShip – 603 Channelside Dr. Tampa, FL 33602

Are you looking for a front-row view of the 4th of July fireworks? Reserve a seat on the Yacht StarShip July 4th Fireworks Cruise. Each 2.5-hour dinner cruise includes a Free at Sea open bar, live entertainment, an available VIP buffet dinner and the best view of the fireworks on the bay.

Fireworks-viewing cruises are available as well, for families who are not looking for dinner. 

Temple Terrace Independence Celebration

WHEN: Monday, July 4 at 10 a.m.

WHERE: City of Temple Terrace

The City of Temple Terrace will host its 47th Annual Independence Day Celebration presented by TECO on Monday, July 4 starting at 10 am with a parade through the City featuring floats by community groups, businesses, civic organizations, and local dignitaries, as well as a special appearance by the C. Leon King High School Marching Lions.

The Grand Marshall for the parade will be Faith Smith, a parent liaison aide at Temple Terrace Elementary School who recently was named the Excellence in Education Instructional Support Person of the Year by the Hillsborough Education Foundation.

The festivities resume at 6 pm on the first fairway of the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club. Friends, neighbors, and families can enjoy Charlie Imes and the Sundogs, returning for a second year to provide the perfect musical backdrop to the evening party.

There also will be food trucks and children’s activities and entertainment, including 2020 Best of the Bay winner Magician Cory Van Valin, all leading up to a fireworks display at 9:15 pm.

The parade begins at 10 am at Whiteway Dr. and Gillette Ave. It will then run south to Druid Hills, west to Ridgedale and south to the Temple Terrace Little League fields. Parking is allowed on any side street that doesn’t have “No Parking” signs.

The evening festivities will take place on the first fairway of the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club, 200 Inverness Ave.
