HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 61-year-old Brooksville man was killed in a crash that happened around 6:38 pm on Tuesday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was traveling northbound on Anderson Snow Road in an SUV, south of Pablo Boulevard.

Troopers say a pickup truck was traveling southbound on Anderson Snow Road, when an unknown reason, the Brooksville man drove onto the shoulder, over-corrected, traveled back across the
roadway, and collided nearly head-on with the pickup truck.

Both vehicles came to a stop along the southbound grass shoulder.

The 61-year-old Brooksville man was transported to an area hospital but later died from injuries suffered during the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck and his passenger suffered only minor injuries.
