A Florida woman has been arrested on charges related to stealing prescription medications from her place of employment.
According to investigators, on June 6, 2022, a local nursing home, in Bay County, Florida, noticed discrepancies in their prescription medication inventory, which consists of the medications prescribed to the residents at the facility.
Deputies say that the facility’s management began an investigation and was able to identify an employee as the probable cause of the discrepancies.
The employee was suspended pending an investigation and a report was filed with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 7, 2022, deputies interviewed the employee, 33-year-old Jessie L. Klintworth, of Lynn Haven, Florida.
During an interview, Klintworth admitted to the theft of the pills, which were all opiate-based pain medications, and the distribution of the pills through illicit means.
Klintworth was taken to the Bay County Jail where she was charged with Grand Theft of a Controlled Substance.
