Deputies Say Drug Overdose Is Cause Of Death After Woman’s Body Found In Withlacoochee River

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A female body located in the water on May 1, 2022, near Reynolds Street and Treiman Boulevard, has been identified as 43-year-old Nicole Timmons.

No foul play is suspected at this time, according to Hernando County Sheriff’s Office

On Sunday, May 1, 2022, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a Death Investigation off of Reynolds Street, near the Withlacoochee River.

Deputies say shortly after 2 p.m. that day, a person passing by the area, saw the body.

According to deputies, a preliminary autopsy conducted by the state medical examiner’s office in Leesburg indicated Timmons died as a result of a drug overdose.
