High-Speed Injury Crash Turns Fatal After 22-Year-Old Man Dies

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A 22-year-old passenger has died from a crash that happened on May 22nd. 

On May 22nd at 2:05 a.m., a silver Toyota Corolla was traveling westbound on 54th Avenue South in the curb lane. The vehicle lost control and struck the north curb line of 54th Avenue South. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

The vehicle rolled over and struck a tree before stopping. The driver was uninjured and cooperated at the scene.  There were three passengers who were all transported to local hospitals with serious injuries.

Jacolyn Spradley, 22, died several days later on May 28th at Bayfront Health St Petersburg, due to his injuries sustained in the crash. Next of kin has been notified.

This is still an ongoing investigation and we will update this story as more details are released.
