Florida Man Needed “Hosed Down” After Running From The Cops And Into A Ditch

A Florida man, who thought it was a good idea to run from deputies, ended his chase with a shower, from a deputy.

On Thursday deputies with Flagler County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Parkview Drive after a vehicle was speeding through at 60mph.

Deputies say when they approached the driver, he was uncooperative and fled into the woods.

K9 Teams and FireFlight assisted in the search and 33-year-old Michael Santora was found submerged in a ditch. He was secured without incident.

“This guy thought he could get away, but little did he know he can run, hide and we will be sure to find him,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “What could have been a simple traffic stopped turned into a search involving multiple units, including FireFlight and K9, all because he thinks he’s above the law. I hope this guy enjoyed his bath and learned a lesson, and will stop breaking the law.”

Deputies then helped clean him off before bringing him to the jail, where deputies say he has been a frequent guest since 2020.

He’s previously been charged with Resisting Officer without Violence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving While License Suspended. Today, he’s facing charges for Resisting Officer without Violence and Driving While License Suspended with Knowledge, and was just released on a $1,000 bond.
