A 52-year-old St. Petersburg man was killed when he was struck by an SUV early Thursday morning in Brooksville.

St. Pete Man Killed When Struck By SUV On Cortez Boulevard In Brooksville

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. – A 52-year-old St. Petersburg man was killed when he was struck by an SUV early Thursday morning in Brooksville.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, around 5:20 am, a Dodge Durango, driven by a 58-year-old Ridge woman, was traveling westbound lanes of SR-50 (Cortez Blvd.), approaching Cedar Lane. 

Troopers say the St. Petersburg man was standing or walking in the westbound lanes and was struck by the vehicle.

Investigators say the man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
