LAKELAND, FL. – Two Southeastern University (SEU) alumni, Tiffany (Hammer) Hudson and Sam Simon, were represented at the Grammy Awards this past weekend.
Hudson, a member of Elevation Worship, was a part of winning the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for their collaborative album with Maverick City Music.
Simon played the keys in Maverick City’s performance that night.
Simon commented, “Maverick City is the first Christian group to perform at the Grammy Awards in 20 years. Being a part of this history is something that I don’t take for granted.”
Simon was an integral part of the Department of Music during his time at SEU, and Hudson was heavily involved in the university’s music group, SEU Worship.
