ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – A 60-year-old Florida woman has died after a crash that happened in St. Petersburg around 2:07 am. Saturday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 60-year-old woman, From Kenneth City, Florida, was traveling eastbound on 54th Avenue North, in the right lane, approaching 31st Street North on a motorcycle.
Troopers say the woman lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a curb west of 31st Street North.
Upon impact, the rider was ejected from the motorcycle which continued onto the shoulder and struck a fence.
After separation from the bike, the woman landed in the eastbound travel lanes where she was struck by a car that was traveling eastbound on 54th Avenue North.
Troopers say the woman suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the car, a 24-year-old Bradenton man, was uninjured in the crash.
