Ten Florida Lottery Scratch-Off Players Rake In $15,000,000 In Winnings This Week

This past week, the Florida Lottery announced 10 new scratch-off millionaires with $15,000,000 in total winnings.

On Monday, the Florida Lottery announced that Lizbeth Chaparro Venegas, 25, of Immokalee, claimed a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.00.

Chaparro Venegas purchased her winning ticket from Handy Food, located at 1812 Lake Trafford Road in Immokalee. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Also on Monday, two players won on the new 500X The Cash, $50 scratch-off ticket.

Idalmis Almarales, of Orlando, and George Schlitz, of Davenport, each claimed a $1 million prize from the new 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game.

Almarales chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00. She purchased her winning ticket from Publix, located at 6485 South Chickasaw Trail in Orlando. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Schlitz also chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00. He purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 39883 Highway 27 in Davenport. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Tuesday, the Florida Lottery announced that Stevyn Bartlette, 45, of Tampa, claimed a $5 million top prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,960,000.00.

Bartlette purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 3030 54th Avenue South in St. Petersburg. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Also on Tuesday, the Lottery announced that Priest Redden, of Arcadia, and William Murray, of Marco Island, each claimed a $1 million prize from the new 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office.

Redden chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00. He purchased his winning ticket from Arcadia Discount Liquor & Tobacco, located at 2009 Southeast Highway 70 in Arcadia. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Murray also chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00. He purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 175 South Barfield Drive in Marco Island. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Wednesday, two Florida players struck gold, literally, after playing the Gold Rush Limited Scratch-Off Game From the Florida Lottery.

The Florida Lottery announced that Sonny Capobianco, 38, of Orlando, and Sharinet Lee, 43, of Gibsonton, each claimed a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game.

Capobianco chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.00. He purchased his winning ticket from 7-Eleven, located at 5650 Hansel Avenue in Edgewood. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Lee also chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.00. She purchased her winning ticket from Publix, located at 4900 West Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Thursday, Brian Snyder, 48, of Plant City, claimed a $1 million prize from the new 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00. 

Snyder purchased his winning ticket from Plant City Sunoco, located at 2911 James L. Redman Parkway in Plant City. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket. 

Also on Thursday, the Lottery announced that Jesus Betancourt Pizarro, 62, of Kissimmee, claimed a $2 million top prize from the 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,645,000.00.

Betancourt Pizarro purchased his winning ticket from Wawa, located at 14876 Narcoossee Road in Orlando. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 75 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $1.3 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2020-21.
