According to police, 60-year-old Diane Pearsall was charged with one count of Burglary with Assault-Battery.
Police say the female victim and her 15-year-old daughter were driving down Lake Hamilton Dr. W in Winter Haven last Tuesday around 8:20 p.m. when she had a blowout to her right passenger tire.
Investigators say the woman pulled into a driveway to get out of the 2-lane roadway to safely change her tire.
As she completed changing the tire, the homeowner, Pearsall, 60, arrived to find the woman in the driveway.
Pearsall drove around the car through the grass and towards her garage. She then approached the victim aggressively screaming at her to get off her property.
Police say the victim got into her vehicle and Pearsall approached the driver’s side and reached into the car punching the woman in the face.
Pearsall then got into her vehicle and backed up hitting our woman’s vehicle as she was attempting to back out of the driveway.
The victim then went to another driveway and called 911, according to police.
Pearsall was booked into the Polk County Jail on a $15,000 bond. Note: the burglary charge on Pearsall was due to her entering the victim’s car to punch her.
