Police in Tampa received a 9-1-1 call at approximately 9:58 AM on Friday, from an employee at the 53rd Bank located at 1901 W. Swann Ave.

Bank Robbery Suspect Apologizes Before Leaving With The Cash, Tampa Police Seek To Identify

TAMPA, FL. – Police in Tampa received a 9-1-1 call at approximately 9:58 AM on Friday, from an employee at the 53rd Bank located at 1901 W. Swann Ave.

The employee stated a man presented a note while implying he had a weapon and said, “quickly fill it up, quick quick quick” and told the clerk “God bless” and “sorry” before fleeing the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the suspect is described as a 30 to 40-year-old Hispanic or light-skinned black male wearing a blue/gray hoodie, tan pants, a covid mask (fishing buff), and red shoes.
