The Florida Lottery announced two new Florida millionaires this week, both from scratch-off games.
According to the Florida Lottery, Frank O’Dell, of Hernando, claimed a top prize from the $1,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $930,000.00.
“I’ve never been very lucky,” O’Dell told the Florida Lottery. “But I think it’s safe to say that my luck has finally changed and now I’m set for life!”
O’Dell purchased his winning ticket from Circle K, located at 2025 North Lecanto Highway in Lecanto. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
On Tuesday, the Florida Lottery announced that Lora Tanouis, 58, of New Port Richey, claimed a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.00.
Tanouis purchased her winning ticket from AZ Shop, located at 6022 State Road 54 in New Port Richey. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The Lottery’s $20 Scratch-Off game, GOLD RUSH LIMITED, features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million! Additionally, this ticket is filled with over 33,000 prizes of $1,000 to $100,000!
