Florida Republicans: Is Biden Is Using Vaccine Resistance To Amass Database Of Federal Workers’ Religious Beliefs

As congressional Republicans recently pointed out, the Biden administration appears to be building a national gun registry by retaining a database of nearly 1 billion gun sales going back almost 40 years.

Now, two Florida Republicans maintain President Joe Biden is doing something similar with a religious database for federal employees.

The lawmakers – Sen. Rick Scott and Rep. Daniel Webster – rallied 40 other GOP members so Congress to demand answers about the “Employee Religious Exception Request Information System.”

In a letter to Gene Dodaro, the comptroller general of the United States, an agency within the Government Accountability Office, the Republicans note that the request for creating the database came from the District of Columbia’s Pretrial Services Agency, or PSA, a little-known federal agency responsible for processing newly arrested defendants and which make recommendations about their release before trial.

According to their letter, the PSA submitted new guidelines concerning the “procedure or practice requirements” of its employees “who submit a religious accommodation request related to a federally mandated vaccination requirement.”

The lawmakers asked Dodaro if this proposal amounted to an agency “rule” that, under federal law, Congress could overturn.

The GOP members are interested in this because the PSA is the tip of the iceberg.

According to Scott’s office, the proposed database “tracks the names, religious affiliation, religious beliefs, personally identifying information and other data of federal employees who have requested religious exemptions to the Biden Administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate on federal employees.”

And so far, more than 20 federal agencies, including the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Transportation, have issued similar notices to maintain databases tracking employees’ religious beliefs, Scott’s office said.

These lists will be shared between federal agencies.

“Federal law protects employees seeking exemptions or accommodations allowed under the law from being targeted or discriminated against, yet that could happen under these registries,” Webster said in a statement.

“I am committed to defending the First Amendment and ensuring those seeking to exercise their Constitutionally protected freedoms are not subjected to intimidation or fear of discrimination.”

In addition to Scott and Webster, the letter was also signed by Sen. Marco Rubio and Florida GOP Reps. Bill Posey, Brian Mast, Gus Bilirakis, Michael Waltz, Kat Cammack, and Byron Donalds.

Other notable signers included Reps. Louie Gohmert, Lauren Boebert, and Jim Jordan.

  1. I agree 100% with this. The COMMUNIST BIDEN ADMINISTRATION IS ANTI-RELIGIOUS , and ANTI- 2ND AMENDMENT. BEING THE COMMUNISTS THEY ARE, THEY H!AVE TO MAINTAIN LISS OF ORGANIZATIONS THST POSE A THREAT TO THEIR CONTROL OF THE MASSES. YOU HAVE TO DISARM THE LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS FIRST AND THEN YOU BREAK THEIR WILL BY DESTROYING THEIR RELIGION!
