Two Florida women are facing felony burglary charges after a glitter attack that happened around 3 am on Monday.
Police say, Sarah Franks, 29, and Kaitlin O’Donovan, 27 arrived at the residence of Jacob Colon in Clearwater and an argument started on the man’s balcony.
Investigators say that Franks and O’Donovan each threw a container of glitter at the victim, striking him in the head and upper torso.
Police say that Franks then climbed a fence to make her way into Colon’s apartment where she “engaged” the male victim again with glitter and unlocked the front door to allow O’Donovan into the apartment. Once inside, O’Donovan again threw more glitter at Colon.
According to the arrest affidavit, Franks then kicked a window in Colon’s apartment until breaking it. The glitter bombing women then fled the area.
Police caught up with the pair, and found glitter inside of the vehicle.
Franks and O’Donovan were arrested on a felony charge of burglary with assault or battery. Franks was also slapped with an additional charge of criminal mischief for breaking Colon’s apartment window.
Franks bonded out of the jail Monday morning after posting a $75,250 bond. O’Donovan remained in custody until Tuesday and was released after posting a $75,000 bond.
