HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. – A 32-year-old Spring Hill man has died after a crash that happened around 11:10 am Saturday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the man was traveling northbound in the outside lane of US-19, north of SR-50.
Investigators say the Spring Hill man was changing lanes and failed to slow for traffic, then collided with the rear of another motorcycle.
The impact overturned the man’s motorcycle and ejected him into the roadway, according to FHP.
Troopers say the Spring Hill man was then subsequently struck by a van.
He was transported to a local hospital but later died from injuries suffered in the crash.
