PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. – A 2-inch gas line rupture along McMullen Booth Road south of Tampa Road in Palm Harbor has been repaired.
Traffic impacts have been cleared, and the evacuation of a medical building has been rescinded.
Earlier, a Pinellas County contractor has struck a 2-inch gas line along the west side of McMullen Booth Road south of Tampa Road in Palm Harbor. Clearwater Gas and a fire rescue unit have responded to the scene, and the gas supply has been shut off.
A medical facility located near the southwest corner of Tampa Road and McMullen Booth Road was evacuated as a precautionary measure.
The ramp from Tampa Road to southbound McMullen Booth Road was closed. Residents and motorists were asked to avoid the area during the repair.
