HOUSTON, TX. – In a press conference Friday, a spokesperson for Houston Police said that officers discovered more than 90 people in a 2-story home.
The spokesperson also noted that some of the people have COVID symptoms and rapid testing will be underway.
“There are no children in the home. The youngest person is in their early 20’s,” said Darren Edwards Houston Police Assistant Chief.
Edwards said that this situation is a ‘smuggling operation’ and not a ‘human trafficking operation.’. Police are getting aid, food, and water to the people in the home.
