SPRING HILL, Fla. – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office concluded a months-long investigation into methamphetamine use and distribution with a significant drug bust at a Spring Hill residence.
On Friday, November 15th, 2024, the Vice and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Welsh Street. Inside, deputies found eleven individuals, nine of whom were in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia.

This operation marks the culmination of an extensive investigation that focused on the trafficking of methamphetamine from the property. During the course of the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office seized significant quantities of methamphetamine linked to the residence.
The following individuals were arrested and charged:
- Timothy Martin: Possession of Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia ($3,500 bond)
- Cody Smith: Possession of Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia ($3,500 bond)
- William Hughes: Possession of Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia ($3,500 bond)
- Russell Laux: Possession of Cannabis and Paraphernalia ($2,000 bond)
- John Merry: Possession of Cannabis and Paraphernalia ($2,000 bond)
- Carolyn Moyers: Possession of Paraphernalia ($1,000 bond)
- Doreen Heath: Possession of Paraphernalia ($1,000 bond)
- Shannon Snow: Possession of Cannabis and Paraphernalia ($2,000 bond)
- Michael Chier: Resisting without Violence, Possession of Cannabis and Paraphernalia ($3,000 bond)
Sheriff Al Nienhuis emphasized the Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to combating illegal narcotics within the community.
