PASCO COUNTY, FL. – An 89-year-old New Port Richey man was killed Friday around 10:00 am in a crash that happened at the intersection of Moon Lake Road and Lacey Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the New Port Richey Man was traveling westbound in a pickup truck on Lacey Road, stopped at a stop sign, at the intersection of Moon Lake Road.
Troopers say a car was traveling northbound on Moon Lake Road, failing to yield, entering the intersection and into the path of the pickup truck.
According to FHP, the front of the car collided with the front left of the pickup truck, rotating both vehicles which stopped in the roadway.
Troopers say the New Port Richey suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
