77-Year-Old Woman From The Villages Struck And Killed By Leesburg Driver

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A 77-year-old woman from The Villages tragically lost her life after being hit by a car on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 7:12 AM on Old Mill Run, east of Buena Vista Boulevard, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say a 23-year-old woman from Leesburg was driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound when the pedestrian attempted to cross the road and was struck.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital but sadly succumbed to her injuries.
