76-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck By SUV In Spring Hill

SPRING HILL, Fla. – A 76-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle in Spring Hill on Thursday evening, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 6:34 PM on Mariner Boulevard near the intersection of Hearth Road. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Honda CRV driven by a 72-year-old woman from Spring Hill was traveling northbound on Mariner Boulevard when the pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway.

Troopers say the man stepped into the path of the oncoming vehicle and was struck. He was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Honda CRV was uninjured.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
