71-Year-Old Bradenton Man Killed After Crashing Into Spring Hill Couple On I-75

BRANDON, Fla. – A Bradenton man was killed in a car accident on I-75 on Friday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 71-year-old man was traveling southbound on I-75 near State Road 618 around 7:30 p.m.

According to troopers, the man did not stop or slow down for other stopped traffic and crashed into the back of a Ford truck towing a trailer driven by a Spring Hill man, 56.

The crash injured neither the truck driver nor his passenger, a 56-year-old Spring Hill woman.

The 71-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident shut down portions of I-75 until 2 a.m. on Saturday.
