7 Florida Lottery Scratch-Off Players Rake In Combined Winnings Of $11 Million In February

The month of February, so far, has seen seven Florida Lottery scratch-off players rake in a whopping $11 million in combined winnings.

On February 7, the Florida Lottery announced that Misty Regulacion, 53, of Callahan, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.

Regulacion purchased her winning ticket from Starke Shell, located at 115 South Temple Avenue in Starke. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Then, two days later on the 9th, the lottery announced that Dezerick Kirkland, 43, of Altamonte Springs, claimed a $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.

Kirkland purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 482 East Altamonte Drive in Altamonte Springs. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Then starting on February 12 through the 15th, a million-dollar winner was announced each day.

  • Nargis Banu, 48, of Kissimmee, claimed a $1 million prize from the BILLION DOLLAR GOLD RUSH SUPREME Scratch-Off game
  • Sean Wickson, 36, of Englewood, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Ft. Myers District Office.
  • Abdallah Adlouni of Tampa, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Tampa District Office. 
  • David Nguyen of Orlando, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Orlando District Office.

But the big winner so far this month was announced on the 16th, with Bernard Waters, 63, of Milton, claiming a $5 million top prize from the $20 MONOPOLY DOUBLER Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

Waters purchased his winning ticket from S Food Mart Three, LLC, located at 6025 Stewart Street in Milton. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $20 MONOPOLY DOUBLER Scratch-Off game features more than $493 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $5 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.02.

Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 72 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2022-2023. Additionally, since inception, Scratch-Off games have awarded more than $59.5 billion in prizes, created 1,947 millionaires, and generated more than $18.39 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
