69-Year-Old Spring Hill Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash With Tractor Trailer

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. – A 69-year-old Spring Hill man was killed Monday in a crash that happened at 11:35 am Monday morning.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on Veterans Avenue approaching US-41. Troopers say the Spring Hill man was traveling southbound on US-41 approaching Veterans Avenue, on a motorcycle.

Investigators say at the intersection, the truck turned into the path of the motorcycle and, the motorcycle collided with
the undercarriage of the truck.

Troopers say the 69-year-old man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The driver of the truck, a 55-year-old man from Summerfield, Florida, had no injuries.
