U.S. District Judge Julie Sneed has sentenced 61-year-old Pooran Ramjattan of Kissimmee to 10 years in federal prison for attempted enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity. Ramjattan pleaded guilty to the charge on November 21, 2024.
According to court documents, the case began on May 1, 2024, when an undercover agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), posing online as a 13-year-old girl, was contacted by Ramjattan.
After learning the purported age of the “child,” Ramjattan engaged in a sexually explicit conversation with the undercover agent. He then arranged to meet the “child” at a predetermined location in Orange County for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity.

Law enforcement officers arrested Ramjattan when he arrived at the arranged meeting location.
The investigation was a joint effort by the FBI and the Orlando Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Kaley Austin-Aronson prosecuted the case.
The case was brought under the umbrella of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006. Project Safe Childhood aims to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse by coordinating federal, state, and local resources to identify, apprehend, and prosecute offenders, as well as to rescue victims.
