58-Year-Old Brooksville Man Killed In Sunday Motorcycle Crash

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. – A 58-year-old Brooksville man was killed in a crash that happened Sunday around 2:00 p.m.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a car was traveling northbound on Fairhaven Avenue, while a motorcycle, driven by the Brooksville man, was traveling eastbound on Elgin Boulevard.

Troopers say at the intersection of the two roadways, the car stopped for a posted stop sign, then proceeded into the intersection and into the path of the motorcycle.

Investigators say the front of the motorcycle collided with the left side of the SUV.

The Brooksville man was transported to a local hospital but later died from injuries suffered in the crash.
