A Florida man has pleaded guilty to a murder-for-hire plot after attempting to hire an undercover ATF agent to kill someone who he claimed had defrauded him.
Makram Khashman, 58, Boynton Beach, admitted to meeting with the undercover agent, who was posing as a hitman, on two occasions in early 2024. During these meetings, Khashman offered $5,000 for the murder and provided details about the intended victim, including their name, address, car, work schedule, and frequented locations.

Khashman claimed the victim had taken over a million dollars and a business worth around $3 million from him, leaving him and his family with nothing. He told the undercover agent that he didn’t care how the murder was carried out and even offered the agent any cash found on the victim as an added bonus.
Fortunately, the plot was foiled, and the intended victim was unharmed. Khashman was arrested and faces up to 10 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for January 7, 2025.
