50-Year-Old Sarasota County Inmate Dies, Medical-Related Illness Suspected

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said that an inmate has died, and medical reasons are suspected.

William Hinton, 50, was in the custody of the Sarasota County Correctional Facility since May 2021, for drug-related charges.

On February 1, 2022, due to ongoing medical issues, Hinton was transported to the hospital where he has since remained. On Saturday just before 5:00 p.m., the sheriff’s office was notified by Sarasota Memorial Hospital that Hinton passed away.

Based on Hinton’s medical history, detectives are confident he died from a medical-related illness, however as always, an official cause of death will come from the Medical Examiner’s Office.

  1. William Hinton around 2002, ripped off my parents pretending to be a licensed contractor. This is before new Florida laws came about to protect people. He ran off with $35,000.00 in insurance money that was paid to him to do a job. At that time, he only did one or two things and cops said it was civil. Fast forward: he is a sexual predator and his dad is locked up along with his brother for robbing people up and down Tamiami Trl. His wife if complicit in his scheme before he got sent away. Look it up on the clerk of courts. Well I hope he’s rotting away in hell.
