Upon discovery, Perez’s body temperature was recorded at 105 degrees Fahrenheit, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Pinon has been arrested and charged with child abuse by neglect resulting in death. She reportedly parked the car in the salon’s parking lot before going to work, leaving the child inside the hot SUV.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation, and it remains unclear whether Perez’s death was intentional or accidental.
