WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – A 48-year-old Wesley Chapel man was killed Tuesday evening around 6:45 PM, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the man was driving an SUV northbound on Quail Hollow Boulevard, south of Sora Boulevard behind a car.
The car driven by a 58-year-old Wesley Chapel man slowed to make a left turn into a private driveway.
The SUV attempted to pass the car as it began to make the left turn, in a no-passing zone. The front of SUV struck the left side of car, departed the roadway, collided with a tree, and overturned.
The 48-year-old man was transported to a local hospital but died from injuries suffered in the crash. The 58-year-old driver sustained no injuries.
