TREASURE ISLAND – A 47-year-old woman has died after she was pulled out of the water in Treasure Island Monday just before 3 p.m.
An officer was on beach patrol around 3 p.m. today when he was flagged down by people on the beach. Police said, ‘the officer found a non-responsive 47-year-old woman who had just been pulled out of the water by bystanders’. Officers performed CPR until Treasure Island Fire Rescue arrived.
The woman was transported to the Palms of Pasadena Hospital where she was pronounced dead this afternoon.
Currently, the surf swells for Treasure Island are at 2-3ft and winds at 15mph most of the day. There was no rip current warning for today according to the National Weather Service.
