BROOKSVILLE, FL. – A 42-year-old Spring Hill woman was killed in a crash that happened just before midnight on Thursday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was heading northbound on US-98 approaching Museum Court in Brooksville.
Troopers say the driver, a 43-year-old Hernando man, lost control of the motorcycle while negotiating a curve in the roadway, and the motorcycle overturned.
According to investigators, the motorcycle struck a curb, entered the grass shoulder, and collided with a wooden pole.
Troopers say the driver suffered serious injuries in the crash. The 42-year-old passenger suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
