PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol say a box truck and a car crashed into each other Friday morning in Zephyrhills.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said a 40-year-old woman was killed and the driver of the truck was seriously hurt. The crash happened on Old Lakeland Highway at Otis Allen Road.
The Zephyrhills woman was traveling eastbound on Otis Allen Road and was stopped at a posted stop sign at the intersection of Old Lakeland Highway. A single unit truck, was traveling southbound on Old Lakeland Highway approaching Otis Allen Road when the woman turned in front of the truck.
Troopers say the woman died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
