40-Year-Old Man Dies From Gunshots After Morning Shooting On Fairfield Ave S.

SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. – A 40-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in an early morning St. Pete shooting.

According to police, at about 7:15 AM police responded to a call about a shooting at 4114 Fairfield Ave. S.

When police arrived, they found one man shot, Ronald Gary, 40, and transported him to a local hospital with critical injuries.

Police say that Gary and his cousin, Keyshawn Smiley, age 17, residing at the home together. It was learned that this morning the two into an argument and Smiley shot Gary multiple times.

Investigators say that Gary died at the hospital from injuries sustained.

Police arrested Keyshawn Smiley, and charged him with 1st degree murder.
