40-Year-Old Hudson Woman Killed, Motorcycle DUI Crash in Spring Hill

SPRING HILL, Fla. – A 40-year-old Hudson woman was killed in a DUI crash on Wednesday around 1:50 p.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the Hudson woman, driving a motorcycle, was traveling westbound on County Line Road approaching Spring Time Street in Spring Hill. A 50-year-old Spring Hill woman was traveling southbound on Spring Time Street approaching County Line Road, driving an SUV. The Spring Hill woman ran the stop sign and collided with the motorcycle.

Investigators say the impact propelled the woman and motorcycle into a pickup truck and the woman died at the scene from the injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene and was later identified as 50-year-old Frida Charlene Ross, of Spring Hill. Troopers located Ross soon after she fled the scene and arrested Ross at her home on Spring Time Street in Spring Hill. Ross is charged with DUI Manslaughter and Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving a Death.
