A federal grand jury in Hartford has indicted four Bridgeport residents—Elijah Raffington, 21; Rajonne Blake, also known as “Ray Ray,” 25; Shasson Daniels, 20; and Mickyeem Profit, 21—for a series of armed robberies at retail stores and an Amazon delivery truck.
The indictment, which was initially sealed and returned on July 11, 2024, outlines the following allegations:
- On December 15, 2022, Raffington and Profit allegedly committed an armed robbery at Omega Deli on Maplewood Avenue in Bridgeport.
- On December 21, 2022, Raffington, Daniels, and Profit are accused of robbing Milford Convenience & Tobacco on Boston Post Road in Milford at gunpoint.
- On December 23, 2022, Raffington, Daniels, Blake, Profit, and another individual allegedly carried out an armed robbery of an Amazon delivery truck and its merchandise in Bridgeport.
- That same day, Raffington, Daniels, and Profit reportedly committed another armed robbery at Smoke Shop on Boston Avenue in Bridgeport.
- On January 2, 2023, Raffington, Daniels, and Blake allegedly robbed a Cumberland Farms store on West Broad Street in Stratford at gunpoint.

The six-count indictment charges each defendant with multiple counts of interference with commerce by robbery, commonly known as Hobbs Act robbery.
Each count carries a potential maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
Additionally, Daniels and Profit face charges for carrying, using, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence, while Raffington and Blake are charged with aiding and abetting the same crime. These charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of seven years and could lead to a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
The indictment was unsealed on August 1, 2024, following Blake’s arrest. Raffington, Daniels, and Profit were already in state custody. All four defendants have been arraigned in New Haven federal court, where they pleaded not guilty and were ordered to remain in detention.

U.S. Attorney Avery emphasized that the indictment is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
