TAMPA, FL. – The price was right for one Tampa woman, after a scratching off a lottery ticket she purchased at Farm Stores.
The Florida Lottery announced that Sheena Nellon, 36, of Tampa, claimed a $1 million top prize from THE PRICE IS RIGHT® Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $770,000.00.
Nellon purchased her winning ticket from Farm Stores, located at 125 West Linebaugh Avenue in Tampa. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $5 game, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, launched in April 2018 and features more than $59 million in prizes, including six top prizes of $1 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-4.19.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 75 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $1 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2019-20.
