35-Year-Old Mother Of Two Shot And Killed In St. Pete, Two Others Injured

SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla – Saint Petersburg Police Crimes Against Persons Unit launched an investigation into a shooting in the Wildwood Park area, after three victims were dropped off at local hospitals.

The woman who died has been identified as 35-year-old Emily Renee Grot.  Grot was a resident of St. Petersburg and a mother of two children.

Grot, a 17-year-old girl, and a man were shot in the 13th Ave. S and 26th St. S area, near Wildwood Park Sunday night around 10:50 pm, according to police. 

The man had serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, and the teen suffered only a minor injury.

Detectives are in need of any information regarding the shootings.  Please call SPPD at 727-893-7780 if you were there, or if you have any information about the shots that were fired in the Wildwood Park area last night.
