HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 61-year-old Weeki Wachee man was killed in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Hodza Street and US-41 Friday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Honda Accord westbound on Hodza Street when he ran a stop sign and collided with a northbound Dodge Ram pickup truck. The impact caused the Accord to spin, and it was then struck by a GMC Envoy, also traveling northbound on US-41.

The driver of the Accord suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger in the Accord, aged 52 and from Youngsville, North Carolina, sustained serious injuries.
The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 51-year-old woman from Brooksville, was seriously injured, while her male passenger, aged 56, had minor injuries. The driver of the GMC Envoy, a 50-year-old Brooksville man, also had minor injuries. His female passenger, aged 18, was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Authorities have not released the names of those involved pending notification of next of kin.
