A small group of anti-Israel protesters from a Florida chapter of Queers for Palestine briefly disrupted traffic heading to Walt Disney World in Orlando over the weekend.

The protesters, clad in keffiyeh scarves, blocked the Disney exit of Interstate 4, accusing the entertainment giant of “supporting genocide” against Palestinians.

Their chants of “Free, free Palestine” reverberated, drawing the ire of frustrated motorists attempting to access the popular theme park.

The incident unfolded on May 11, 2024, as the small group of activists strategically positioned their vehicles to obstruct the Disney exit, effectively halting traffic.

Eyewitness accounts and video footage captured the tense confrontation that ensued, with some drivers maneuvering around the blockade by using the highway’s shoulder.

One particularly incensed motorist stepped out of his car to confront the protesters, voicing his concerns about the impact of their actions.

The exchange between the motorist and the protesters quickly escalated, with the latter accusing the driver of being a “genocide sympathizer.” The protester angrily retorted, “Go f–k yourself. Forty-five thousand people dead,” referring to the Gaza Health Ministry’s reported death toll of nearly 35,000 Palestinians since the conflict with Israel began on October 7.

According to reports, the Florida Highway Patrol arrived on the scene just 11 minutes after the blockade began.

The “Queers For Palestine” protesters were promptly arrested, with Florida’s “zero tolerance” policy for blocking traffic swiftly enforced.
