PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Three middle school students have been arrested after an investigation into written threats of a mass shooting and the unauthorized access of a student information system, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
Detectives from the Threat Management Division arrested a Safety Harbor Middle School student, Karter Craft, and two Palm Harbor Middle School students, Jarvis Burcham and Braxton Green, on February 27, 2025.

According to the investigation, Craft, a Safety Harbor Middle School student, gained unauthorized access to another student’s Pinellas County Schools Student Information System portal account (FOCUS). Craft then used the account to send threatening messages to a Palm Harbor Middle School teacher, stating, “im gonna shoot the school up tomorrow be ready.” Craft admitted to sending the messages when confronted by detectives.
Further investigation revealed that Burcham, 12, and Green, 14, both Palm Harbor Middle School students, also accessed the same FOCUS account without authorization.

Craft was arrested and charged with one count of Written Threats to Commit a Mass Shooting and one count of Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information. Burcham and Green were each arrested and charged with one count of Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information.
