Three men from Georgia were arrested early Saturday morning for street racing on Interstate 4 in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The incident occurred on April 5, 2025, at approximately 12:45 AM. FHP troopers patrolling I-4 westbound observed a Corvette traveling at 97 MPH. Shortly after, troopers spotted two Dodge Challengers traveling in conjunction with the Corvette.
Near Milepost 22, all three vehicles reduced their speed to 80 MPH before accelerating rapidly to speeds exceeding 120 MPH in what troopers determined to be a street race.

The FHP report states that the three vehicles drove aggressively through traffic, making numerous lane changes and passing on the shoulder.
After stopping the vehicles, troopers discovered that all three drivers were traveling together from Georgia. The three men, aged 39, 37, and 34, were all arrested and charged with racing on highways.
In accordance with state law, all three vehicles were impounded for 30 days.
