TAMPA, Fla. – A three-alarm fire erupted at an apartment complex on Bearss Ave and Turtle Creek Cr in Tampa Thursday afternoon, prompting a swift response from Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.
Multiple 911 calls reporting smoke and flames led to the dispatch of fire crews, who arrived within minutes and immediately escalated the situation to a second, and ultimately a third alarm due to the fire’s intensity. Firefighters battled the blaze for nearly an hour before bringing it under control.

One resident was reported injured, and tragically, a pet dog perished in the fire. However, firefighters successfully rescued a cat from the affected apartment. No firefighter injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and authorities are working to assess the extent of the damage and assist displaced residents.
