TAMPA, FL. – On Thursday, N. Nebraska Ave. near E. Hanna Ave was closed after a shooting claimed the life of a 29-year-old man.
According to police, the TPD Emergency Communications Center received several calls just after 3 pm about shots heard in the 6100 block of N Nebraska Ave. near E Hanna Ave.
Officers arrived and found a 29-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, the man died at the scene.
An investigation into the shooting is underway and detectives believe that this was not a random shooting.
