HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office carried out a proactive operation on Thursday, October 19, 2023, with the goal of lowering crime rates in areas of the county that are known to have a high crime rate.
District One, which primarily included the neighborhoods around USF in Lutz, Lake Magdalene, and Pebble Creek, was the focus of this particular operation.
For this cooperative effort, members of the Street Crimes Unit, Motor Unit, Gang Unit, Opioid Overdose Investigations, Warrants, Aviation, and K9 came together.

The results of this operation, which ran from 3 p.m. on October 19 to 3 a.m. on October 20, are below:
- Arrests: 29
- Traffic Stops: 203
- Guns Seized: 1
Among those arrested was Malik Tice, 26. He was charged with Grand Theft Motor Vehicle after stealing a motorcycle.
